airBaltic is a joint stock company that was established in 1995. Its primary shareholder is the Latvian state, which holds 80.05% of the stock, while Lars Thuesen holds around 20% through his fully-owned Aircraft Leasing 1 SIA. In 2017, airBaltic transported 3,5 mln passengers.
airBaltic was the first airline in the world to introduce the brand new Airbus A220-300 aircraft. As of right now the airBaltic fleet consists of in total 36 aircrafts – Airbus A220-300, Boeing 737-500, Boeing 737-300 and Bombardier Q400 NextGen.
airBaltic offers over 60 connections from Riga to majority of cities in Europe, Central Asia and the Central East.
