Air Baltic : Special assistance - Extra services / Travelling with children
Children below two years of age
The infants who are younger than 2 and have no seat in the aircraft are entitled to a 90% discount for a selected tariff. When buying a ticket in two ways ensure that the child is still younger than 2 at the day of the return flight. In the case when the child is 2 years old on the day of departure, the separate tickets “to” and “from” need to be purchased. The infants with a discounted ticket are not entitled to any seat for the flight. However, if the parents or carers need a seat for the infant, they can purchase a ticket with a children discount. The baby car seats are not allowed on the board.
Children between 2 and 11
Children between 2 and 11 years old may have a 25% discount for the selected tariff.
It needs to be assured that the child is still younger than 12 on the day of the return flight. Otherwise, a separate “to” ticket and separate “from” ticket is necessary. The children below 12 years of age must be accompanied by a mature person who is at least 16 years old or the „unaccompanied minor” service needs to be selected, which is intended for children older than 5.
Children who travel alone
The „unaccompanied minor” service offered by the airBaltic airlines is targeted at children older than 5, provided that the law of the country of child residence permits.
